About "give birth to your dream."
In the Fall of 2009 Kristen Lucas and her husband lost a baby due to miscarriage. Kristen needed a creative outlet for her grief and so she set out to pursue her dream of writing a children's book.
This catchphrase started when a friend told Kristen, who had just signed a publishing deal for her children's book, that she was not birthing a child, but instead birthing a book. This made Kristen think. She was indeed birthing a dream, not the one she had intended in the Summer of 2009, but instead a "bucket list" dream of writing a children's book.
Her hope of sharing this message is to inspire others no matter what the circumstances life may throw at you, you can still give birth to your dream!
